Started in 1986 by Arjan the founder of Green House, this Dutch seed company became one of first growing Dutch marijuana and soon started experimenting with lesser known strains.Green House Seed Company's first pedigree breeding program led to new strains being huge success.

From end of 80's to beginning of 90's they supplied the 20 most eligible cannabis retailers. Developed stronger strains from then on but there was aconflict with Dutch coffeeshops at that time.. the stronger strains being developed were more expensive due to longer grow and flower periods and many felt there was not a market for them. Following this Green House opened their own premises, Green House Tolstraat which became an artistic cafe/coffeshop.

Developmental work continued and strains such as Master Kush and Cytral became a huge success.November 1993 was the first High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam in which Green House attended... after this event the brand was recognised world wide... the rest as they say is history.
